I am writting to voice my frustration about a few subjects regarding the Leapster 2 and Tag leapfrog products. first of all I purchased the Leapster 2 and one the learning path was finally up it was okay. However I seem to notice come problems and I would like to make others aware. When I go to see my childs progress it will say time played this week 20 minutes, time play total 10 mintues???? That doesnt make any sense. Also.. we originall had a leapster 1 and the game Mr. Pencil. Well, when we purchased Leapster 2 I havd my child play the Mr. Pencil game on it and it worked wonderfully, however when I went into the learning path to view details about him playing it would only tell me how long he had played.
After discovering this I was of course frusterated, but I thought well maybe more detailed options are only available with the newer games for the Leapster2. Then I saw at my local toy store a the Mr. Pecil game in the newer case like the leapster 2 games. It also said learning path in the bottom corner. I thought GREAT!! They released a newer version that actually shows more details regarding the learning path. So I sold my leapster 1 along with the older Mr. Pencil game. I bought the new Mr. Pencil brought it home had mychild play only to fin out that it showed nothing more regarding the details on the learning path than the old Mr. Pencil. I was again frusterated. I then called leapfrog customer support and they said they couldnt even find that there was a Mr. Pencil available in the newer Leapster 2 case. Well, I have included a photo to prove it that it does exist. (The leapfrog supervisor said she would give me a call to confirm that it did in fact exist) Thats it! They didnt know the answer. There wasnt an update I could download, or anything. Just proof that they released the same game in a new Leapster 2 case so that people like me would think it was different and waste money to purchase it. I have now purchased the Tag, leapster 2, many books and games and am VERY DISSAPOINTED!!
Is there anyone else expierencing this?
