I am having the exact same problem. I know that my computer is recognizing our Tag Jr. because it's letting me add books and personalize our Tag with my daughters name, but  it won't update my daughters learning path or let us access the corresponding printables.

Thanks for posting in the forums. I would like to try to help resolve the issue you are having.

When you connect your Tag Junior to the computer do you see a "Eject" button at the top of the screen? This is one sign that the computer recognizes the Tag unit. Another way to check is for you to try to add, and remove books off your device.

If the computer is not detecting the unit than we will have to send you some troubleshooting to resolve the issue.

I have a tag junior that I purchased for my daughter.  She used it with the book it came with for several days.  When she got new books I connected to the internet and downloaded the audio.  Everything went fine.  The tag junior updated the learning path for the first book and I successfully downloaded all of the audio for the additional 3 books we have.  Now every time I connect my tag junior it doesn't update.  Previously it told me it did not have enough battery power to sync properly.  I replaced the batteries and it still hasn't updating the learning path with the 3 additional books that she has read.  How can I get the learning path to update and show the information for the new books?
