waypoint,

This doesn't sound like a Tag device issue, it sounds like a problem with LeapFrog Connect. It could be your firewall, in which case you should go to Customer Support: LeapFrog Connect to download the alternative PC or Mac application. If that doesn't work, please contact Customer Support

Tag Reader reset, Update required

I could not get the Tag Reader to work with the Cars Tractor Tipping book. After doing things like setting the correct country (UK for me) and removing and uploading the book many times, I decided to try a fresh start and reset the Tag Reader.

Now I get the message:

"Your Tag Reader needs an update so that it can work with LeapFrog Connect. Would you like to update now?"

Clicking YES immediately disconnects the Tag Reader connection. I then get the message "Updating. This may take several minutes. Do not disconnect."

After which I get the following:

"Update failed: Please reconnect your Tag Reader and make sure it's turned on to try updating again".

The tag is detected if I unplug and reconnect the USB cable. It then asks me to update again, which of course fails again when I click YES.

I'm stuck in a loop and the Tag Reader no longer works.
